Bamboo For Texas

Caldwell Nursery offers one of the largest selections of non-invasive clumping bamboo available on the Texas Gulf Coast. We maintain a large viewing garden of around 40 plus varieties growing directly in the ground.

Some of the possible uses include barriers for privacy, hedges, as a living fence, tall fencing material, screening, fishing poles.

Our bamboo sizes range from 2 to 95 gallons and are suitable for Houston Texas area landscapes.
We carry clumping non-invasive varieties (with the exception of a few very collectable runners).
For bamboo collectors, we stock rare and hard to find bamboo.
Supplies may be limited. Email for price and availability.

Due to the extreme cold Feb. 2021, our bamboo selection is very limited. We have also discontinued growing bamboo in small pots.
Small culmed multiplex varieties start in 7 gallon pots and 15 gallon pots. Larger growing varieties start in 15 gal. with some specimen sizes available.

Our bamboo garden area in the back of the nursery is currently closed!
